Platform admin access
Understand the difference between a server administrator and a Medusa platform administrator.
Two different administration scopes
- Primary Owner: owns one Medusa-enabled Discord server and controls Billing and Team for that server.
- Delegated server Admin: can manage day-to-day server configuration but does not own Billing or Team controls.
- Medusa platform Admin: has access to Medusa-wide operational tools such as the Promo Codes administration page.
Platform-only routes
Platform administration is intentionally separate from server-scoped administration. Being an Owner or delegated Admin on a Discord server does not grant access to /dashboard/admin routes.
Do not delegate platform access through Team
The Team page grants server-scoped access only. It is not a mechanism for assigning Medusa platform administration.
