Terminology
A concise glossary for Medusa access control, billing and administration.
Accounts and permissions
- Member: a Discord user whose linked wallets can be evaluated by Medusa.
- Primary Owner: the Medusa user who owns the server configuration and retains Billing and Team controls.
- Delegated Admin: a server-scoped administrator added by the Primary Owner.
- Platform Admin: a Medusa-wide administrator with access to restricted platform tools.
Access Control
- Collection: a configured Solana NFT collection.
- Token: a configured Solana SPL token.
- Rule: an on-chain eligibility condition connected to a Discord role.
- Trait rule: a Solana collection rule restricted to specific synchronized NFT attributes.
- Check wallet: a read-only Solana eligibility evaluation that does not change Discord roles.
- Verification Logs: stored verification and role-change events used for troubleshooting.
Billing and promo terms
- Payment intent: a server-generated USDC quote with a unique payment reference and expiry.
- Promo reservation: a temporary claim on a promo code while a checkout is in progress.
- Redeemed: a promo use that completed successfully.
- Reserved: a promo use currently held by an active checkout reservation.
- Complimentary capacity: extra server capacity preserved by Billing but not treated as a paid add-on.
